Scrumptious Chunky Salsa

Got a ton of tomatoes ripening on the vines? Pick a few and get chopping with this quick and easy recipe for a crunchy, spicy salsa to celebrate the end-of-season flavors from your garden or local farmers market.

Tom and Jackie’s Chunky Salsa

Ingredients:

  • 6 - 8 tomatoes

  • 1 sweet yellow onion

  • 1 large bunch fresh cilantro

  • Juice of 3 limes (or 3 tbsp bottled lime juice)

  • Pepper sauce to taste OR fresh diced peppers, such as jalapeños to taste

  • Salt to taste

 Directions:

  1. Chop tomatoes and place in a bowl.

  2. Chop onion and add to the tomatoes.

  3. Chop cilantro and add to tomato/onion mixture.

  4. Add pepper sauce or chopped peppers to taste.

  5. Squeeze in lime juice.

  6. Add salt to taste.

  7. Mix and serve with your favorite tortilla chips.
